I am a dedicated and experienced elementary educator with a strong record of instructional excellence, leadership, and professional collaboration. I currently serve as a 3rd grade teacher at Piper USD 203, where I’ve been teaching since 2021. Prior to that, I taught 4th grade at Monroe County Community School Corporation from 2015 to 2021.
Throughout my career, I have actively taken on roles that extend beyond the classroom to support school improvement and educator development. I serve on Piper Creek Elementary School's Guiding Coalition, a leadership team focused on improving instructional practices, aligning academic resources, and contributing to building-level decision-making. I also serve on the Piper USD 203 District Professional Development Council, where I help develop staff learning goals, analyze professional development feedback, and inform the planning of future PD initiatives.
While teaching at Monroe County, I served as the staff representative for CORE Council, a student leadership and character education program recognizing students who model strong values and serve as school ambassadors.
I have also mentored both first-year teachers and student teachers, providing coaching, modeling, and support as they grow into confident and effective educators. I am committed to fostering a collaborative, reflective teaching culture that supports continuous learning.
My professional qualifications include:
LETRS (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) Certified
LETRS Trainer Certification (to be completed December 2025)
English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Certified
Canvas Champion Certification (Canvas LMS)
I am deeply committed to student success, instructional innovation, and contributing meaningfully to school and district improvement efforts. I bring a strong balance of classroom experience, leadership capacity, and a passion for mentoring and collaboration.
